Presenter Selection Process

Participation by authors in readings, panel discussions, and workshops is by invitation only. Participating presenters are selected by BBF staff in consultation with a Program Committee. Presenters’ books are sold at the Festival by the BBF consortium of local independent bookstores.

Authors — or their publicists — who wish to be considered for the Boston Book Festival are asked to email info@bostonbookfest.org with:

• Author name
• Title of book (include publication date, must be between November 1, 2025 and October 17, 2026)
• Brief synopsis of book
• Publisher
• Contact information
• Additional info ie New England connections, trending topics, etc.

Priority is given to books newly published in 2026 but we also consider paperback releases. Please note that the BBF does not have a budget for presenter travel or accommodation. Should you be selected to be a part of the Festival program, you will receive an invitation in the Spring. We receive many more pitches than we could possibly accommodate at the BBF and we apologize that we cannot respond to every message.  Thank you for your understanding.
