We highly recommend using Boston’s public transit system, the MBTA, to get to the BBF. It’s easy, inexpensive, and best of all, you can spend your travel time doing what you do best: reading!
Copley Square Directions
Take the “T” to the Copley stop on the Green Line and exit onto Copley Square (and the Boston Book Festival!). For detailed directions, go to the MBTA “Trip Planner.” Enter “Copley Station” as your end address.
From the MBTA Orange Line or commuter rail (Framingham/Worcester line, Needham line, Franklin line, and Providence/Stoughton line), get off at the Back Bay Station. Walk 0.1 miles northeast along Dartmouth Street toward Huntington Avenue. **Note that the MBTA Orange Line may be out of service between Sullivan Square and Tufts Medical Center, with shuttle bus replacements, for the duration of BBF weekend. Please visit the MBTA’s website for details on service disruptions.**
Dudley Square Directions
Dudley Station is home to one of the most active bus stations in the MBTA system. MBTA bus routes 1, 8, 15, 19, 23, 28, 41, 42, 44, 45, 47, and 66 serve Dudley Station on Sundays, as well as silver line routes SL4 and SL5. For detailed directions, go to the MBTA “Trip Planner.” Enter “Dudley Station” as your end address.
