Stroll with your family through three of Boston’s exciting neighborhoods, discovering a story as you go! These fun, free story walks will be available October 14–24, so you can enjoy them safely and at your own pace. Check out the details below—then grab your walking shoes and enjoy a fun literary outing for the whole family!
Nubian Square Story Walk
Dad Bakes by Katie Yamasaki
Enjoy a virtual story time with Katie Yamasaki on October 21 and then read her new book for yourself while exploring Boston’s Nubian Square neighborhood during this in-person StoryWalk!
This fun-filled event for the whole family is a great way to enjoy a book together outdoors. Head to Gertrude Howes Playground to discover the pages of Dad Bakes displayed around the park. Families can read the story together and enjoy a stroll outside. A StoryWalk is a great way to encourage reading and a love of books. This event can be enjoyed at any time of day and is free and open to all.

Chinatown StoryWalk:
Watercress by Andrea Wang, with artwork by Jason Chin
Enjoy a virtual story time with author Andrea Wang and artist Jason Chin on October 18 and then read their new book for yourself while exploring the vibrant neighborhood of Chinatown during this in-person StoryWalk!
This fun-filled event for the whole family is a great way to enjoy a book together outdoors. Head to Auntie Kay & Uncle Frank Chin Park at the southern end of The Greenway to discover the pages of Watercress displayed along the Serpentine Path. Families can read the story together and enjoy a short stroll along The Greenway. A StoryWalk is a great way to encourage reading and a love of books. This event can be enjoyed at any time of day and is free and open to all.

East Boston StoryWalk:
¡Vamos! Let’s Cross the Bridge by Raúl the Third
Enjoy a virtual story time with Raúl the Third on October 20 and then read his new book for yourself while exploring the vibrant neighborhood of East Boston during this in-person StoryWalk!
This fun-filled event for the whole family is a great way to enjoy a book together outdoors. Head to Central Park, across from the East Boston Social Center, to discover the pages of ¡Vamos! Let’s Cross the Bridge displayed around the park. Families can read the story together and enjoy a stroll outside.
