Nir Rosen is the author of Aftermath: Following the Bloodshed of America's Wars in the Muslim World (Nation Books, November 2010) and In The Belly Of The Green Bird: The Triumph of the Martyrs in Iraq (2006). He has written for The New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, Harper's, The Atlantic, Time, Mother Jones, The National (Abu Dhabi), Boston Review, The New Republic, and Rolling Stone. Rosen taped the Iraq footage for the Academy-Award nominated documentary “No End in Sight,” and was a featured host for the IFC Media Project’s “War.” He is a fellow at the NYU Center on Law and Security, and a consultant for several humanitarian NGOs. He lives in New York City.
