Kate Beaton
Kate Beaton is a Canadian cartoonist who appeared on the comics scene with her online work Hark! A Vagrant. She has since gathered a significant following, with work appearing in The New Yorker, Harper's, and Marvel's Strange Tales anthology. Her new book, Hark! A Vagrant, is a compilation of new and collected comic strips about famous authors, their characters, and political and historical figures. Wired magazine calls her "the Web's best military historian, hands down," and Webcomics Overlook calls Hark! A Vagrant "one of the best webcomics ever created."
